Basketball Recap: Woodbridge Comes Up Short

Woodbridge was the 62-34 winner over University when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Woodbridge Warriors fell 46-35 to the University Trojans on Friday. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Ai Miyano, who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Asha Highsmith, who earned seven points and eight rebounds.

Woodbridge's record is now 3-10. As for University, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Woodbridge will take on Santiago in a tournament on Monday. Woodbridge is facing Santiago at the right time seeing as Santiago is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for University, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Costa Mesa at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
