Baseball Game Preview: Camden County Wildcats vs. Savannah Country Day Hornets

The Camden County Wildcats will square off against the Savannah Country Day Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Camden County got a good showing from Gage Hogan, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Hogan a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Camden County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Napier, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Savannah Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hilton Head Christian Academy.

Gabe Mckinney was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Miles Carson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Camden County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Savannah Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
