Football Game Preview: New Ulm Eagles vs. St. Peter Saints

The New Ulm Eagles will square off against the St. Peter Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, New Ulm was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 28-22 to Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center].

Meanwhile, St. Peter had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 26-21 W against the Tigers.

New Ulm's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for St. Peter, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

New Ulm didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against St. Peter in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 22-18 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
