Football Recap: Canaan Cowden and Timothy Edwards Pace Christ Prep Academy Defense

Christ Prep Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 38-13 margin over Columbus Crusaders. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 86th in Kansas, while Columbus Crusaders are ranked 577th in Ohio) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The critical scores for Christ Prep Academy came from Jackson McGregor, Canaan Cowden, Seth Regan, and Justice Criniere.

Christ Prep Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cowden and Timothy Edwards. Cowden got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Christ Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 41-0 victory against West Platte on the 30th. As for Columbus Crusaders, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-0 win against Peebles on the 30th.
