The Leigh Longhorns lost against the Prospect Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Leigh's loss came despite strong showings from Emily Chen and Daphne Glim. Chen scored seven points along with two steals, while Glim scored five points along with three steals and three blocks. Chen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.
Sadie Slaughter was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks for Prospect. That makes it five consecutive games in which Slaughter has scored at least a third of Prospect's points. Another player making a difference was Kate Barstow, who scored eight points.
Leigh's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Prospect, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.
