Baseball Recap: Elbert County Takes a Loss

Elbert County lost against Providence Christian Academy on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Elbert County fell just short of Providence Christian Academy by a score of 2-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elbert County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Ingram, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Elbert County's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Providence Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Elbert County and Providence Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Elbert County will challenge Oglethorpe County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 174 places (118 vs. 292). Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy (ranked 108th) will meet Commerce (ranked 358th) at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
