Basketball Recap: Pine-Richland Takes a Loss

Pine-Richland lost against Seneca Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pine-Richland Rams fell to the Seneca Valley Raiders 50-45. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Raiders are ranked 61st).

Pine-Richland has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Seneca Valley, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Pine-Richland will take on Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seneca Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-30 loss against South Fayette on the 8th.
