Softball Recap: Malcolm Comes Up Short

Malcolm lost against Central City back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clippers came up short against the Bison, falling 10-1. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malcolm saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madysen Wall, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Morgan Tiedeman was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Malcolm's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Central City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Malcolm will take on Southern/Diller-Odell in a tournament on Saturday. Southern/Diller-Odell has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.36 runs per game on average), something Malcolm will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central City, they will host O'Neill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
