Recap: Liberty Lions vs. Heritage Patriots
After a string of eight wins, the Liberty Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage. Liberty was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Heritage apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Liberty lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aly Acosta, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Perea, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Ze'ni Patterson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Heritage, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Zion Patterson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Liberty's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Heritage also has no future games currently scheduled.
