Baseball Game Preview: St. Bernard Saints vs. Plainfield Panthers

The St. Bernard Saints will square off against the Plainfield Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games St. Bernard has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, St. Bernard sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Norwich RVT.

Meanwhile, Plainfield fell victim to Norwich Free Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 1st.

Plainfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for St. Bernard, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Everything went St. Bernard's way against Plainfield when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as St. Bernard made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Saints have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
