Softball Recap: Rome Comes Up Short

If Rome was riding high fresh off their 12-4 takedown of New Manchester on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves lost 14-2 to the Fannin County Rebels on Monday.

Rome saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madyson Thacker, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rome's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fannin County, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Rome will head out to take on East Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fannin County, they will welcome Christian Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
