Baseball Recap: Centennial Gets the Win

Centennial won the last time they faced Westminster and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Tilden Reams tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Centennial is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 6-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Juan Pablo Rivas, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Centennial is undefeated when Rivas posts two or more runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Jake Hickox was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Centennial's record now sits at 11-9. As for Westminster, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
