Soccer Game Preview: Livermore vs. Amador Valley

Livermore is 0-9-1 against Amador Valley since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Livermore Cowboys will square off against the Amador Valley Dons at 6:30 p.m. Livermore's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Thursday, Livermore didn't have quite enough to beat Dublin and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Gaels are ranked 164th).

Livermore's goal came courtesy of Jenevieve Lundberg, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Amador Valley won against Livermore back in December of 2024 with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. Amador Valley came out on top against California by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dons.

Amador Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Livermore, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Livermore suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Amador Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Livermore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
