Basketball Recap: 13 Straight Home Wins for Geibel Catholic

Geibel Catholic had won 12 straight home games dating back to last season and Emma Larkin did her part to make it 13 on Monday. The Geibel Catholic Gators put the hurt on the Monessen Greyhounds with a sharp 65-39 win thanks in part to Larkin, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Geibel Catholic's points.

Mallory Clemmer was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Geibel Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Monessen, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Geibel Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Serra Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monessen, they will square off against Clairton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
