Football Recap: Aiden Scott's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shawnee Heights over Leavenworth + How To Watch

Shawnee Heights lost against Leavenworth back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thunderbirds lost to the PIONEERS on the road by a 43-29 margin. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shawnee Heights' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Scott, who threw for 409 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. A healthy portion of that aerial production (94 yards to be exact) went to Dallas Owens.

Leavenworth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braden Bridger led the charge by throwing for 232 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 79 yards on only 11 carries. Ja`Marion Jefferson was another key player, picking up 72 receiving yards and four scores.

Shawnee Heights' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Leavenworth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.
