Football Game Preview: Skyline Thunderbirds vs. South Central Timberwolves

Skyline is 0-4 against South Central since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Thunderbirds will look to defend their home field against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Skyline challenged Manhattan E on Friday. The Thunderbirds had to suffer through a 38-6 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The Thunderbirds were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, South Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Udall 56-0. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Eagles are ranked 95th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Skyline better keep an eye on Easton Huck. He was instrumental in South Central's win, rushing for 40 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 51 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Huck racked up 177.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

South Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryder Woolfolk and Cooper Woolfolk.

South Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Skyline took a serious blow against South Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 68-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Thunderbirds were down 68-6.
