Basketball Recap: Dasmine N Cooper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Camden County over Colquitt County

Camden County was the 55-44 winner over Colquitt County when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Camden County Wildcats fell to the Colquitt County Packers 50-45.

Camden County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dasmine N Cooper, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. N Cooper is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Jakyla Jackson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colquitt County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amareyia Knighton, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points. What's more, Knighton also posted a 56% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nacardia Robinson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Camden County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Colquitt County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Camden County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season. As for Colquitt County, they will square off against Lowndes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
