Baseball Game Preview: Richmond Hill Wildcats vs. St. Johns Country Day Spartans

The Richmond Hill Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Richmond Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Camden County 20-10 on Friday.

Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day entered their tilt with Lowndes on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Vikings.

Madden Williams looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on TJ Sunderhaus, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Jonas Wells also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Richmond Hill's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Johns Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
