Basketball Recap: Valley View Piles Up the Points Against Wyoming Area

There's no place like home for Valley View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Wyoming Area Warriors 54-26. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Wyoming Area saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abigail Sterba posted ten points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Gaylord, who earned five points and five rebounds.

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Wyoming Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

Looking ahead, Valley View will square off against Honesdale at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wyoming Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
