Football Recap: Golden Valley's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Golden Valley's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 43-28 win over the West Ranch Wildcats. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mesziah Ramos, who rushed for 95 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. Ramos also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Blake Johnson was another key passer, throwing for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Golden Valley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for West Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Aaron McCormick and Ty Hall. Meanwhile, West Ranch is set to challenge their familiar foe Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
