Soccer Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mount Miguel last Friday, Monte Vista came back down to earth. The Monte Vista Monarchs fell just short of the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

Monte Vista's goal came courtesy of Joselyn Lorenzo, which was the first she's scored this season.

Monte Vista now has a losing record at 6-7-2. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Coming up, Monte Vista will square off against El Cajon Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chula Vista Learning Community Charter, they will take on O'Farrell Charter at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
