Football Recap: Wamego Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Concordia last Friday, Wamego came back down to earth. The Red Raiders took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Creek Mustangs on Friday. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Wamego's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rock Creek, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Wamego and Rock Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The Red Raiders (ranked 32nd) will meet Marysville (ranked 98th) on Friday. Meanwhile, Rock Creek will take on Bonner Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (39 vs. 181).
