Softball Recap: North Fayette Valley Takes a Loss

North Fayette Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oelwein Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to North Fayette Valley of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in July of 2024.

North Fayette Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Oelwein, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-11.

Looking ahead, North Fayette Valley will take on West Delaware on Thursday. As for Oelwein, they will be playing at home against Sumner-Fredericksburg on Thursday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
