Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Temecula Valley

Chaparral hasn't had much luck against Temecula Valley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Chaparral Pumas will head out to challenge the Temecula Valley Golden Bears at 7:15 p.m. Temecula Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Chaparral, who comes in off a win.

Chaparral will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Murrieta Mesa, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Chaparral's way against Murrieta Mesa on Friday as Chaparral made off with a 4-1 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Meanwhile, Temecula Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Vista Murrieta.

Temecula Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Chaparral suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Temecula Valley when the teams last played on January 10th. Can Chaparral avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
