Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Apaches vs. Bullard Knights

The Sanger Apaches will head out to take on the Bullard Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sanger will be strutting in after a win while Bullard will be coming in after a loss.

Sanger took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Ridgeview by a score of 54-46.

Meanwhile, Bullard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Central, falling 70-40. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 26th).

Sanger's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Bullard, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Sanger took a serious blow against Bullard in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 75-38. Can Sanger avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
