Recap: Northridge Academy Pumas vs. Vaughn White Tigers

The Northridge Academy Pumas stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Vaughn 63-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Northridge Academy has posted since November 16, 2023.

Northridge Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janelle Estrella, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Divya Kishore, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Several White Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mariah Eulloqui, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Andrea Cervantes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Vaughn were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge Academy only posted five assists.

Northridge Academy pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Vaughn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Northridge Academy on the road again on Monday and play against Fulton at 4:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Fulton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Vaughn, they will be playing at home against Sherman Oaks CES at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Neriah Adjei and Cervantes.
