Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Triumphs

Calvary Christian Academy won the last time they faced Great Commission, and Olivia Mills did her part to make sure it happened again. The Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors took down Great Commission 42-25 on Friday thanks in part to Mills, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 boards. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high.

Eva Penning was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Calvary Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Great Commission, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Calvary Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Clearfield Alliance Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Great Commission, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Centre County Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
