Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Brawley

The Lincoln Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Brawley Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Brawley will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Lincoln extended their winning streak to seven on Tuesday. The Hornets' defense stepped up to hand Kearny a 3-0 shutout. Lincoln's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Meanwhile, Brawley's matchup on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Madison. Three seems to be a good number for Brawley as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Jenissa Herrera and Analya Camarena scored all three of Brawley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Brawley's win bumped their record up to 16-6-3. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.

Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Brawley in their previous matchup back in March of 2017, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
