Soccer Preview: Lincoln vs. Brawley
The Lincoln Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Brawley Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Brawley will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Lincoln extended their winning streak to seven on Tuesday. The Hornets' defense stepped up to hand Kearny a 3-0 shutout. Lincoln's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.
Meanwhile, Brawley's matchup on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Madison. Three seems to be a good number for Brawley as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Jenissa Herrera and Analya Camarena scored all three of Brawley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.
