Baseball Recap: Lincoln Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Lincoln rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Mater Academy Charter Lions by a score of 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Eyhan LaFuria looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lincoln is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 14-15 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jayson Parker was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Cody Garber was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Lincoln's record is now 19-16. As for Mater Academy Charter, they moved to 26-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
