Football Recap: Southeast Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Southeast has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were outmatched by the MacArthur Highlanders and fell 45-6. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Louciano Williams threw for 98 yards and one TD. Montre McGlugritch was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Cormel McDonald rushed for 68 yards.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-3. As for MacArthur, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Southeast is set to square off against their familiar foe Newcastle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, MacArthur will face off against rival Bishop McGuinness at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
