Softball Recap: Spencer Comes Up Short

Spencer managed to slip by Algona the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 10-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2023.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Algona, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Spencer will take on Ballard on Thursday. As for Algona, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Sheldon. The Orabs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
