Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Williamsville Bullets

The Lincoln Railsplitters will take on the Williamsville Bullets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln has four straight victories, Williamsville has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Lincoln's win against Lanphier wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Railsplitters skirted past the Lions 5-3.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Williamsville's offense. They fell just short of Illinois Valley Central by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The shutout was out of character for the Bullets seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Williamsville got a good showing from Quinn Allen, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs Allen has allowed since back in April.

Williamsville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 22-9.

Lincoln skirted past Williamsville 1-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Railsplitters repeat their success, or do the Bullets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
