Toombs County waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Emanuel County Institute 3-1. This was a revenge game for Toombs County: when they faced off against Emanuel County Institute back in August, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Toombs County's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Emanuel County Institute, their loss ended a 22-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Toombs County will face off against Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Emanuel County Institute, they will square off against Portal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
