Basketball Recap: Holy Redeemer Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Holy Redeemer fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Delone Catholic on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Delone Catholic Squires by a score of 44-41. The game marked the Royals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Holy Redeemer's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1. As for Delone Catholic, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Redeemer and Tunkhannock will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Delone Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Biglerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
