Softball Recap: Springville Takes a Loss

If Springville was feeling good fresh off their 14-6 takedown of West Central on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Orioles came up short against the Iowa Valley Tigers on Tuesday, falling 13-7. The Orioles were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

Springville has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Iowa Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Coming up, Springville will challenge Calamus-Wheatland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Iowa Valley has already played their next game (against Lynnville-Sully), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
