Basketball Recap: Paradise Honors' Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

If Paradise Honors was riding high fresh off their 65-42 takedown of Goldwater last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Paradise Honors Panthers fell just short of the Greenway Demons by a score of 44-41 on Thursday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Paradise Honors lost, don't look at David Leszczynski. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 16 on his way to 20 points and four steals. That's the most steals Leszczynski has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillan McClinton, who posted eight points along with seven boards and four steals.

Paradise Honors' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-5. As for Greenway, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Paradise Honors didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-44 win against Shadow Mountain on the 28th. Greenway has also already played their next contest, a 48-40 victory against Goldwater on the 28th.
