Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Louisville). They took down the Marlborough Mustangs 76-62 on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Royals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Mustangs are ranked 41st).

Louisville's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Marlborough, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisville will square off against Harvard-Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Louisville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Marlborough, they will take on Notre Dame (SO) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marlborough knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Notre Dame (SO) likes a good challenge.
