Soccer Recap: Napa Takes a Loss

Napa lost against Petaluma on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Napa Grizzlies lost 9-0 to the Petaluma Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1001st, while the Trojans are ranked 357th).

Napa is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13. As for Petaluma, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-3.

Napa will head out to square off against American Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Napa is facing American Canyon at the right time seeing as American Canyon is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Petaluma, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Casa Grande at 6:00 p.m.
