Football Recap: Hobbs Drops Highest Score of Season Against Clovis + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hobbs). They were the clear victors by a 51-29 margin over the Clovis Wildcats on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Junior Medrano produced another solid effort rushing for 124 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, he racked up 135.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Shamus Wright was another key player, rushing for 85 yards and two TDs.

Hobbs' win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Clovis, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Hobbs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 51-12 victory against Organ Mountain on the 23rd. As for Clovis, they have also already played their next contest, a 48-26 defeat against Centennial on the 24th.
