Basketball Game Preview: Westmoor Rams vs. Menlo-Atherton Bears

Westmoor hasn't had much luck against Menlo-Atherton recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Westmoor Rams will head out to challenge the Menlo-Atherton Bears at 6:00 p.m.

Westmoor is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 46-34 to Hillsdale. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 584th, while the FIGHTING KNIGHTS are ranked 140th).

Meanwhile, Menlo-Atherton beat Carlmont 52-39 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Menlo-Atherton is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Westmoor, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Westmoor was dealt a bruising 59-28 defeat at the hands of Menlo-Atherton when the teams last played back in January. Can Westmoor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
