Soccer Game Preview: Napa vs. Vintage

The Napa Grizzlies are taking a road trip to take on the Vintage Crushers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Napa turned things around against American Canyon on Friday. They never let Wolves onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vintage). They had just enough and edged Sonoma Valley out 3-2 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Crushers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Vintage is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-0-4 record this season. As for Napa, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-8.

Napa might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Vintage in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Napa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
