Soccer Game Preview: Heritage vs. Landmark Christian

The Heritage Patriots will face off against the Landmark Christian War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Heritage is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top against Grovetown by a score of 4-2 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Landmark Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Mount Paran Christian. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Eagles are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two contests. As for Landmark Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
