Los Alamitos is 8-1-1 against Marina since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Los Alamitos Griffins will be playing at home against the Marina Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Marina took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Los Alamitos, who comes in off a win.

Los Alamitos is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Corona del Mar a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Zamorah Malinoski as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Marina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Huntington Beach. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 481st, while the Oilers are ranked 41st).

With the win, Los Alamitos broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5-3. As for Marina, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Everything went Los Alamitos' way against Marina in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Los Alamitos made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Los Alamitos have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marina turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
