Soccer Game Preview: Marist vs. North Springs

The Marist War Eagles will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the North Springs Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Marist will be strutting in after a victory while North Springs will be coming in after a defeat.

Marist is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against West Forsyth. Marist's defense stepped up to hand West Forsyth a 1-0 shutout two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, North Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of The King's Academy. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Spartans couldn't quite close it out.
