Otay Ranch hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They never let the Hilltop Lancers onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Lancers are ranked 497th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Otay Ranch's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests. As for Hilltop, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Otay Ranch will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Monte Vista will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.
