Baseball Game Preview: Cairo Syrupmakers vs. Tift County Blue Devils

The Cairo Syrupmakers will head out to face off against the Tift County Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Things were looking good for Cairo after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 9-2 to Peach County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Syrupmakers have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, Tift County faced Lowndes in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Tift County fell just short of Lowndes by a score of 8-7.

Cairo's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Tift County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.
