Softball Recap: Davenport North Drops Season-High Score on Clinton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davenport North). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clinton River Kings a 19-0 shutout on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the River Kings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Davenport North's win bumped their record up to 17-20. As for Clinton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-28 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davenport North will square off against Dubuque Senior at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clinton, they will venture away from home to square off against Camanche at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
