Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Dunwoody's 14th in Last 15 Outings

Dunwoody barely beat Chamblee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Considering the Wildcats have won 14 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alyssa Rosenkoff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dunwoody let Vivian Curry and Brooke Parkes run wild. Curry went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Parkes went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Curry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sienna Rembelos, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dunwoody kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Dunwoody has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Chamblee, they dropped their record down to 11-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
