Benson had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over the Bisbee Pumas. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 15-12 win the Pumas walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Dawson Judd was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 315 yards and four TDs while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 69 yards and one score. Those 315 passing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Judd's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Jason Santo, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Benson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Judd.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benson will face off against Phoenix Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 858 yards in their previous games. As for Bisbee, they will challenge Cortez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
