Basketball Recap: Dublin Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Dublin is still undefeated this season after their contest against Freedom on Saturday, but Freedom came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Dublin Gaels narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Freedom Falcons 44-41. The Gaels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Dublin's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Freedom, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dublin will venture away from home to square off against California at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. California knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Dublin likes a good challenge. As for Freedom, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
